4/30/15 – 17a-4’s DataParser now supports the latest release of Cisco Jabber version 10.6. The DataParser is the leading solution to manage corporate data for e-discovery and compliance with regulations imposed by SEC, FINRA, CFTC and other governing bodies. The Jabber module of the DataParser collects IM, Multi-Party Chat and Persistent Chat Room conversations and preserves associated metadata for compliance.
Cisco’s Unified Communication solutions offers an advanced, integrated, enterprise environment that puts users at the center of collaboration. Jabber streamlines communications and enhances productivity by unifying presence, instant messaging, video, voice, voice messaging, screen sharing, and conferencing capabilities securely into one client. Users can be more productive, anytime, from anywhere on any device.
The DataParser is a lightweight, middleware product that has a modular design to collect many different types of data streams, messaging platforms and database content. The software allows users to enable a unified compliance policy and procedure for all regulated content. The Jabber module leverages the PostgreSQL or Oracle database through Open Data Base Connectivity (ODBC) to allow for the collection and formatting of Jabber data. The DataParser can pull from any number of CUP servers and can use Active Directory filters to capture specific Jabber user groups.
Designed to integrate easily into any existing infrastructure, the DataParser has multiple delivery options and various ways to access source data. Messages can go directly into a client’s Exchange environment or into an on premise or hosted email archive. Microsoft continues to expand policy and procedure features with the recent addition of a Compliance Center in Exchange 2013 and Office 365 easily controlled through admin portals. As well, all the major email archives on the market have the necessary tools for discovery and supervision and are supported by the DataParser, allowing clients to leverage in house resources and keep compliance costs to a minimum. Creating a normalized repository structure across data types offers optimal policy management and e-discovery procedures that can enable disposition rules and lessen storage concerns.
